The bird collection at the Natural History Museum Vienna is receiving a major addition: the „Harrison Institute Bird Collection“ from Great Britain. This collection, established by physician and ornithologist James Harrison (1892-1971) and his son Jeffrey (1922-1978), includes 19,000 specimens from 889 bird species worldwide. It will be researched and digitized at the museum.
